This episode looks back at the impossible love affair between French sculptor Auguste Rodin and French sculptress Camille Claudel. The program retraces Auguste Rodin's youth, when he grew up among peasants who emigrated to Paris, how he achieved international fame, and his encounters with other historical figures such as Georges Clemenceau and Victor Hugo. It looks back at some of his most famous sculptures, including the Thinker, the Monument to Balzac and the enigmatic Porte de l'enfer. It also looks at the personality of Camille Claudel, presented as a woman with a strong temper. Finally, the program invites viewers to discover the Château de l'Islette, where these figures of French sculpture maintained a secret relationship.

This episode looks back at the Escape from Varennes, a key episode in the French Revolution, during which French King Louis XVI, Queen Marie-Antoinette and their family attempted to reach the Royalist stronghold of Montmédy. Stopped en route at Varennes-en-Argonne, the royals were eventually led back to Paris by revolutionaries. The program recounts the panic and surprise caused by the king's departure from the Tuileries Palace in the middle of the night. It recounts the ups and downs of the royal family's journey, as well as the mistakes that led to his arrest. Finally, it describes how this episode led to a rift between the king and the French people, who felt both betrayed and abandoned by their sovereign, and to the execution of the king and queen in 1793.

To mark the 350th anniversary of his death, this program portrays the French man-of-war Charles de Batz de Castelmore, known as d'Artagnan, who was commissioned by King Louis XIV to arrest Nicolas Fouquet, Superintendent of Finances. It explains his role within the court and how he became the most trusted man of Cardinal Mazarin, and later of Louis XIV. Finally, it explains how Alexandre Dumas drew on his memoirs to imagine the character of d'Artagnan, the hero of his famous novel The Three Musketeers.

This issue focuses on Nostradamus, the famous 16th-century French apothecary and author. The program looks at his Italian origins, his passion for the occult sciences, his arrival at the French court and his activities as royal physician to Queen Catherine de Médicis. It paints a portrait of a man of many skills, an apothecary, herbalist, medical doctor and cosmetics manufacturer. The program focuses in particular on his relationship with Queen Catherine de Médicis, who called him to the court of the Château de Blois in 1555, and whose bedroom adjoined his own. Finally, the program focuses on his famous almanacs, as well as his relationships with crowned heads who asked him for horoscopes and predictions. This is an update of a program which already dealt with this subject during the second season of the show in 2008, then in a one-hour format and broadcast on Sunday afternoons, entitled Nostradamus : prophète ou imposteur?
