Peter performs difficult surgery on a tawny owl named Flynn. Elsewhere, Anne work fasts to remove a tumour from Gerby the gerbil, so that he can be reunited with his human bestie, Harry.

Julian is called out in the middle of the night to save a cow that has experienced dangerous complications while giving birth, a pig is resistant to being castrated, and a dog swallows a bottle of e-cigarette liquid.

Peter tends to Marshmallow, a foal struggling to take the vital first feed from mum; Julian operates on new mother Bea, a labrador who has eaten a large sock.

Julian sets up a blood bank at Jackie's alpaca farm to take vital samples that could help any struggling crias born. Three years after he took off part of her jaw to tackle a cancerous lump, sheep dog Millie needs Julian's help once again.

A cow has a rare and complex problem; baby deer Berry is dehydrated, but the treatment may be more dangerous than the cure.
