Police: Suspect No.1

Return of the documentary following the work of police officers and detectives during investigations, this time with exclusive access to Humberside CID. In the first edition, workers are left terrified when two men, one armed with a meat cleaver, the other with a kitchen knife, launch separate violent crime sprees robbing store tills for cash, and officers must find both perpetrators before they strike again.

In Hull, people are terrorised at home by a knife-wielding intruder and less than 24 hours later, the same victims are targeted again, but this time by two attackers, and left traumatised. DC Heather Butler must build a strong case and during the investigation, incriminating evidence is found, including a razor-sharp meat cleaver left behind at the scene. But as the case unfolds the connection between the two attackers stuns detectives.

Officers are called to a Grimsby pub when two visiting businessmen are left with serious facial injuries after being assaulted on a work night out, but the situation soon escalates when a large crowd of bystanders violently intervene as the police try to make an arrest. The main culprit is identified and arrested, but claims self-defence, while two others are taken in for their part in attacking police in the street disturbance. Humberside detectives have to try to separate the truth from the lies, hoping CCTV footage can help them challenge the suspects' version of events
