Tom and Alison find a Portuguese couple on their doorstep looking for work. Later, Tom meets the tax inspector.

Alison and Tom go to a wedding. At the reception, chaos ensues.

Tom takes his car to the garage where he unknowingly becomes involved in a drug deal. Alison’s parents are mistaken for thieves.

While looking for an engagement ring for Alison, Tom encounters a robbery.

Tom suddenly begins to win things.

Tom visits the local newspaper office to correct the announcement of his engagement to Alison.
