Brothers Leif and Billy Öhman live far up in Norrland in the small village of Sörbäcken. The promissory notes grow high in the small house and their everyday life consists of a constant search to find new ways to make money. The bailiff is constantly on their toes and threatens to take the house away from them. It does not get easier when they repeatedly disagree with the other inhabitants of Sörbäcken.
