Semir Gerkhan and André Fux are investigating a case of child trafficking that begins after a car accident and an abandoned baby. Diamond dealer Grünberg causes an accident in a traffic jam because a criminal is holding his family hostage. With police support, he hands over the ransom, but the criminal, Rüdiger Dubeck, escapes. After an accident, André and Semir find the strangled Andrea de Sand. Clues initially lead to truck driver Ulli Richter, but Andrea's diary reveals that her father Richard abused and murdered her. Richard pursues his fugitive daughter Stefanie. The situation escalates in a factory hall when Stefanie flees onto a glass roof, which collapses beneath her, while André and Semir try to save her.
