Later on, Henry comes knocking at the door, and saves Karl from getting thrown out from his own home.

He gets very jealous when he learns that Nils has managed to borrow a cabin up in the mountains, and threatens to throw him out of the house if he gets a better tan than himself. This way, Karl is permitted to borrow the cabin from Nils, unaware that Elna is planning to visit Nils in the hut.
