Felix lets Skiddoo go free, and refuses to beg for food from a butcher, believing that he has a hefty feast waiting for him at home. But it isn’t so. Now Felix tries and fails to catch Skiddoo. He is rebuffed by both a fisherman and a fish. He climbs a washline to siphon milk from a bottle, but is knocked to the ground. Finally he steals meat from a lion’s cage and takes the lot, along with his lumps.

By using an elephant to squirt water on the crook’s clothes, he makes the sponges inside swell up, turning the man into a sphere.
