Comedian, and co-host of The Last Leg, Josh Widdicombe, joins Rob this week. The actor, comedian and musician talks about his obsession with radio and TV as a child, getting his first job in showbiz with Jack Benny, and working with Looney Tunes voice actor Mel Blanc. They also discuss the importance of music and rhythm in comedy, the time Harry joined Rob on WILTY?, and how Ricky Gervais used This Is Spinal Tap as inspiration for the creation of The Office.

One of the most recognised women in British comedy, 'Absolutely Fabulous' star Jennifer Saunders joins Rob this week! They chat about Jennifer’s experience of au pairing in Italy, before unwittingly finding herself on a drama teaching course in London where she met her close friend and comedy partner, Dawn French. Jennifer recalls the time legendary comedic actor Robin Williams visited the Comic Strip, and they also chat about her highly anticipated new Hollywood film, Death On The Nile.

It’s time for another Brydon & first this week as Rob welcomes not one... but two guests! Chris and Rosie Ramsey are best known for their record breaking and award-winning podcast, Shagged. Married. Annoyed. which has a staggering 90 million downloads to date. They join Rob to chat about how the podcast came about, what it’s like working with your spouse, and how it feels to take their podcast from their kitchen to an arena tour. Rosie also shares her love of Gavin & Stacey, and Chris recalls the challenges of learning the cha-cha-cha for Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.

This week Rob is joined by actor, comedian, and voice artist Alex Lowe. They chat about the creation of his character Clinton Baptiste for Phoenix Nights with Peter Kay, and Alex’s experience of working with Steve Coogan on This Time With Alan Partridge, including the time he was asked whether he was wearing a prosthetic bum! Rob and Alex also reminisce about when they first met over 15 years ago whilst filming a BBC drama in Malta, and how they got told off by the Director for hiring mopeds on location.

They also chat about the grief she got from obsessive EastEnders fans, what it was like working with Sir David Jason in Still Open All Hours and how her husband proposed within the first five minutes of meeting her!

Happy New Year! For our first episode of 2022, Rob is joined by comedian Ross Noble to discuss the “solitary life” of a stand-up comedian on tour, the time they shared a dressing room at the Edinburgh Fringe and Ross’ current UK tour 'Humournoid', which runs until 25th February. Ross also shares some hilarious stories about his many experiences working with renowned filmmaker and comedian Mel Brooks.

Journalist, satirist and broadcaster, Ian Hislop, joins Rob to talk about his new comedy Spike, currently at The Watermill Theatre until Saturday 5th March. They discuss Have I Got News For You, which Ian has been Team Captain on since it first aired over 30 years ago, and Ian tells Rob about first meeting satirist and comedic actor Peter Cook whilst at college: an encounter which eventually led to him becoming the Editor of Private Eye at the tender age of twenty-five.
