Donna tells Eric that the more serious their relationship gets, the worse it will be so she just needs to end their relationship now. Stephanie tells Lt. Just after Jackie suggests that Brooke may be a better mother to Jack than Taylor, Brooke enters with an ill-looking Taylor in-tow. Brooke tells Nick of Taylor’s panic attack and of her allegations towards Brooke; she worries of Taylor’s mental state and suggests that Nick should be worried, as well. Brooke arrives home to Ridge and tells him of her experience with Taylor. Ridge recommends that Brooke butt-out of Nick and Taylor’s life. Later, Rick pays a visit to Taylor where she informs him that Brooke is the biological mother of Jack which then leads to Taylor having another panic attack. Storm tells Katie and Donna that he would like to pay a visit to Stephanie to thank her for his freedom. Later, Katie tells Donna how Stephanie has been calling from Chicago to make sure that Donna has ended her relationship to Eric. Donna tells Katie that she doesn’t want to break up with Eric and that she has a plan to stop Stephanie. After sneaking a swig of alcohol, Taylor assures Nick that she will be the loving mother and wife that Nick and Jack need. Later, unable to handle the sound of Baby Jack crying, Taylor turns to the bottle again. Donna ponders ending her relationship with Eric as she waits for him in his hotel room. Thinking that it is Eric who has entered the room, Donna turns to see Stephanie standing there instead.

Upset that Donna has not broken up with Eric, Stephanie picks up the phone to call the police to turn Storm in. Donna reminds Stephanie that if Storm goes to jail, Stephanie will lose her leverage of getting Eric back. Stephanie gives Donna one more chance to break up with Eric. Katie realizes, after speaking with Eric, that Donna has not yet ended their relationship. Katie calls Donna to tell her that Eric is on his way to see her and that Donna needs to break up with him tonight. Eric arrives at his hotel where Donna confesses to him that Stephanie is blackmailing her. James Warwick returns to town, at the request of Nick, to help Taylor with her emotional issues. Taylor takes a drink just before Rick arrives recommending that Taylor end her relationship with Nick because Nick and Brooke will eventually end up together. Taylor throws Rick out just before he stumbles across the alcohol she had been drinking.

Stephanie invites Eric upstairs to get “reacquainted” but Eric makes an excuse not to, but leaving her with a big kiss. After hearing Nick’s heartfelt declaration of love of her to James, Taylor confesses to the men that she has been drinking recently. After an intimate moment in his office with Donna, Eric receives a call informing him that Stephanie is in the building. Eric and Donna take this opportunity to continue their charade that their relationship is over by pretending to break up for good in front of Stephanie. While reading the morning newspaper, Eric comes across the picture of him on the ledge. Eric goes to Ridge for help with keeping Stephanie from seeing the picture. Ridge, in jest, suggests that the only way to keep Stephanie from seeing the picture would be to fly her off to Tahiti; which Eric thinks is a great idea. While on the jet heading to Tahiti with Stephanie, Eric receives a call from a frantic Donna, who had just seen the newspaper. Distracted by his phone call, Eric doesn’t notice that the flight attendant gives Stephanie the newspaper. A furious Stephanie confronts Eric and scolds him for deceiving her. Eric comes back at Stephanie by telling her that their marriage is over; his future is with Donna.

Stephanie pleads with Eric about how she has done nothing but try to change who she is for him. Eric scoffs at Stephanie knowing that she hasn’t changed a bit. Ridge shows Brooke the newspaper with Eric’s naked picture on it. Brooke fesses up about Stephanie blackmailing the Logan family which upsets Ridge that Brooke hadn’t told him about Storm shooting Stephanie. Katie runs in and asks Ridge to help save their family from Stephanie. Ridge is very unsympathetic and insists that since Storm did the crime, he must do the time. Taylor tells Nick that leaving him was one of the most difficult things she has ever had to do in her life, but it was the right thing. Storm agrees to represent Nick in an emergency custody case and is shocked to learn that Brooke is Baby Jack’s biological mother. Taylor and Rick scramble to rid her house of all alcohol. After some flirtation between the two and Rick’s failed attempt at kissing Taylor again, Taylor receives papers from the court regarding Nick’s request for an emergency custody hearing. A very emotional Taylor calls Nick, chastising him for trying to take her child away from her and blaming Brooke for instigating the hearing. Katie suggests to Bridget that she pursue a relationship with Nick again which prompts Bridget to pay a visit to Nick. After Taylor pulls away from Rick’s kiss, she can’t believe that she is finding comfort in her nemesis’ son. Ridge tells Brooke that he truly loves her but will marry her when the timing is right and only if she is truly ready. Bridget tells Katie about kissing Nick and thanks her for the encouragement to pursue Nick again. Later, Nick tells Katie that he isn’t ready to move on with Bridget. The Forrester family celebrates Eric and Stephanie’s anniversary where Felicia makes one last plea to Eric to not leave their family. Pam admits that her comments may have been a bit harsh but she was just being protective of her sister. Pam then convinces Eric to bring Stephanie back to the company much to the dismay of Donna. Bridget confesses to a disapproving Rick of her resurgence of feelings towards Nick. Brooke confesses to Katie about being in love with two men and not being able to make a decision of who to choose. Katie suggests that Brooke fulfill her commitment to Ridge and let Bridget have Nick. Brooke is affected by Katie’s comment and rushes out to speak with Nick. In the meeting, Ridge and Ashley both confess their residual feelings for each other. Katie drops by Nick’s house and grills him about his night with Bridget which hits a nerve with him. Rick surprises Taylor by bringing Jack to her. Rick tells Taylor that ever since their kiss, he’s been consumed by thoughts of her and doesn’t care what Brooke thinks. During a conversation with James, Taylor realizes that she doesn’t want to let Rick go and decides to tell him of her feelings in a letter. Donna’s appearance is getting a lot of attention and laughs at Forrester Creations. Donna hopes that a new hairdo will make her feel and look better, not knowing that Pam has tampered with the hair dye. Knowing that all of this isn’t a coincidence, Donna confronts Pam with accusations of sabotage. Words are heated between Brooke and Katie when discussing Nick and Bridget. Baker chastises Ridge for withholding this evidence for so long. Ridge calls Brooke to warn her that the police are on their way to arrest Storm and that Storm will most likely be spending the rest of his life in jail. Eric shows signs of remorse because he has seen a different and gentler side of Stephanie recently. Noticing that Eric seems to be having doubts about marrying Donna, Ridge uses it to his advantage to try to talk his father out of getting married. Just as the wedding is about to begin, Stephanie takes advantage of Eric’s doubts by giving him words of advice that could make his cold feet even colder. Katie suddenly grips Nick’s hand tightly as her eyes drift closed. Bridget continues her search for a treatment to save Katie and comes across some new information. Not knowing there’s a meeting, Marcus inadvertently walks in and meets everyone. Afterwards, all are in agreement that Donna should be ousted from the company. Katie’s test results are not showing any signs of improvement. Bridget continues her frantic research on the computer as Nick tries to get her to give up. Brooke, Donna and Nick each take some private time with Katie to give their goodbyes. Bridget is an emotional wreck as she apologizes profusely to Katie for not being able to save her. Donna begins to panic and calls 911 when Eric doesn’t respond to her. After arriving at the hospital, Donna is informed that Eric had a heart attack and is in a coma. Eric’s children soon arrive at the hospital and immediately blame Donna for Eric’s condition.
