Gibt es also so etwas wie Konstanten des Weltgeschehens? Seine Grundthese: Die Menschen vermehren sich so schnell, dass die Nahrungsmittelproduktion nicht hinterherkommen kann; relativ bald werden nicht mehr alle Menschen ernährt werden können. Damit lag er offenbar falsch. Zu seiner Zeit gab es gerade mal 1 Milliarde Menschen, heute gibt es 8 Milliarden, und die meisten sind ausreichend versorgt.
