He also gets a rare glimpse inside the radar base at RAF Fylingdales, a missile-tracking facility that plays a significant role in the defence of both the UK and the USA. In Whitby, Tony visits the area's last shipyard and is delighted to hear that whales have returned to local waters after hunting almost drove them to extinction.
