Hayakawa meets Konno on the school rooftop, and they quickly become friends and keep each other company. One day, Konno sees Hayakawa engaging in unusual behaviour with a senior, and Konno and Hayakawa make eye contact.

Hayakawa always suppresses his emotions because of past trauma. Konno notices this and invites him to relax at home. The interaction between the two gradually heats up, but when Konno shows concern, Hayakawa's emotions explode. Suddenly, the atmosphere between the two changes.

Konno accidentally discovers Hayakawa's tape recorder and learns about his past trauma. Konno decides to encourage Hayakawa to pick up music again, and their relationship gradually deepens.

Hayakawa once again pursues his dream of music and faces his feelings for Konno. After the final exam, Hayakawa bravely sings in front of everyone and confesses his feelings in the form of music.

紺野（平野宏周）にキスをした早川（宇佐卓真）は、あの日以来、屋上に現れなくなった。そして二人はすれ違いのまま、卒業を迎える。 あれから三年後——紺野は希望通りに美術大学へ進学。多田（岡慶悟）の知り合いで、メイクアップアーティストの梅さん（崎山つばさ）と出会い、多くの刺激を受けながら、日々カメラを学んでいた。けれど、最後に見た早川の表情が、ずっと心に引っかかったままだった。 そんな中、紺野は撮影のバイトで、とあるインディーズバンドのライブを訪れる。会場から漏れ聞こえてきたのは、早川のボイスレコーダーに録音されていたあのメロディーだった。 紺野と早川は久しぶりの再会を果たし、早川が、あの日屋上で別れたあともずっと、音楽と向き合って生きてきたことを知る。しかし、二人の間に流れるぎこちない空気が、三年間の空白の長さを物語る。 あの頃のような関係には、もう戻れないかもしれない――そう思いかけた矢先、紺野にもう一度、早川と会うチャンスが訪れる。
