1941, several months after the armistice, the Germans settle in France as the war continues. The people of Villeneuve, small sub-prefecture of Jura , realize that conflict is here to stay : the prisoners do not return, the blockade hardens, the shortages appears. The population adapts to the presence of the occupying forces. The majority tries to resume a normal life, as Daniel Raymond, others engage in the Resistance, as Commissioner De Kerven. Some, like John Marchetti, agree to cooperate instead, hoping to profit from the German presence...
