Parvati feels dejected as Kartikay refuses to accept her as his mother. Mahadev makes Kartikay aware of the purpose of his birth and his responsibilities, but Kartikay refuses to become a warrior. He tells Parvati that he is scared of Tarakasur. Parvati becomes overwhelmed as Kartikay addresses her as Maa. She assures him that nobody can force him to fight without his wish. Tarakasur meditates on Lord Brahma to get a boon.
