On the last weekend in September, West Brom came away from Old Trafford with the scalp of champions Manchester United; now the Baggies are aiming to end October by beating Liverpool at Anfield. United themselves host Stoke City, now managed by former Stretford End hero Mark Hughes. There is also a London derby between Crystal Palace and Arsenal, and the latest renewal of the oldest fixture in top-flight history: Aston Villa v Everton. The day's other games see Cardiff travel to Norwich and Fulham visit Southampton.
