Bet announces to the world that she's in love. Billy entertains his friends after hours at the Rovers. He goes to the races with Bernie Fisher. Tony Cunliffe tells Betty that Bet is a good laugh and he's glad that she's not taking their relationship seriously. Hilda is run ragged between Stan and her cleaning. Billy and Bernie pick up two women, Faye Duffield and Marje Collier, at the races and take them back to the Rovers after hours. Bet invites Tony to spend the night with her, he willingly agrees. After spending an evening running after Stan, Hilda collapses.
