Trevor Cooper gave up a career in law in 1979 and since, over the last forty-plus years, has worked extensively on stage, television, film, radio and voiceover. Stage work includes the Olivier Award-winning productions Chimerica, Death of a Salesman and Martin McDonagh’s Lieutenant of Innishmore. He has worked extensively at the RSC, the National and in the West End. He has appeared off Broadway with Michael Gambon and Eileen Atkins in All That Fall. Films include The Gangs of New York and Drowning by Numbers. Television work includes BAFTA award winning productions of The Singing Detectve, Our Friends in the North, Longitude, An Ungentlemanly Act and This Country. To cult tv fans, he’s best known for his roles in Doctor Who and Star Cops. Recently, he has worked on numerous audio dramas for Big Finish, including Doctor Who and four seasons of Star Cops, where he reprised the character of Colin Devis who he had played thirty years earlier!
