How to make Phthalic acid and Phthalic Anhydride (2015x7)

This method was borrowed from both Youtuber users NurdRage and UC235. In this video we will be extracting DEHP from vinyl gloves, and then cleaving the ester bonds to form alcohols and phthalic acid. The phthalic acid is then converted to phthalic anhydride by dehydration and sublimation. This phthalic anhydride will be used in further synthesis to make phenolphthalein and phthalimide (precursor to anthranilic acid).
