Lou Belasco, a small-time private detective, hired by a robbery victim, locates the thief and kills him. Pete and Mac borrow ideas from classic detective stories to thwart the crooked, small-time private eye. They concoct a case that will keep him too busy to fence the jewels he has stolen.
