Wolnicki blackmails the priest and continues to live in the rectory and work as an organist. There he meets Karolina. Her husband disappeared a year ago, and she still has no news of him. Karolina and Piotr get along well. Their relationship is closely watched by Maciek, the son of Mira, a local policewoman. Wolnicki successfully gains the trust of a young girl who came to Srebrna Góra for a retreat. His acquaintance with Karolina also gains momentum. Maciek is not happy about this, and decides to take matters into his own hands. Will another woman die?
