One of the many tales of valour from the German invasion of the Low Countries in May 1940 is that of the Chasseurs Ardennais who against the odds delayed the advance of technologically and numerically superior Axis forces trying to penetrate into the Allied lines through the Ardennes Forest of Southern Belgium.
