During the festival of Castelmarciano a girl named Laura disappears; the head policeman of the local barracks, Andrea, goes in search of her. After several interviews with Max, Nico and his son Matteo (Laura's last boyfriend), an anonymous phone call leads the policeman to the cliff on which there are traces of blood. A few hours later, the girl's body is found by Andrea himself, who then meets Luisa, from the Trieste homicide section, with whom he tries to discover the motive for Laura's murder. The autopsy report of the girl reveals traces of cocaine in the victim's body; Laura, however, died from numerous belly kicks... and was pregnant. Andrea and Luisa discover that it was Max who bought Laura's pregnancy test. The boy, however, denies him having a relationship with the victim and indeed reveals to Luisa who, on the night of the murder, made the anonymous phone call to the police: Matteo.
