Even though Scott Pilgrim is a 6 part series, the film rights were sold right after the 1st book was published. This eventually led to some hiccups during filming, and even led to multiple endings being filmed. And DID YOU KNOW... Edgar Wright did everything he could to embrace the nerd culture behind the movie, including securing the rights for music from Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto himself, through an apparently moving letter.
