Touma shocks everyone by revealing that Kanata is not a real Shibasaki brother, a truth Chiaki had long kept hidden. He then introduces Manami as Kanata's biological sister, who explains their mother is critically ill and urgently needs a blood transfusion from her rare blood-type son. Overwhelmed, Kanata walks out, and Misaki tries to follow but can’t find the right words. Back home, Misaki questions Touma's lack of concern, but he lashes out, feeling alienated and unwanted, and leaves as well. The next morning, both Kanata and Touma are missing. With the restaurant unable to open without a chef, Chiaki and Misaki begin calling to cancel reservations, while Chiaki blames himself for hurting Kanata.
