Martin, Dion and Martel meet the new owners of two flats with quirky layouts in Stoke, a large house in Kent and a bijoux Grade II-listed terrace in Hebden Bridge.

In Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, a midwife and her builder husband buy a house which hasn't been lived in for a decade. However, they have big plans to create their forever home for them and their four children. Plus, two houses in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, and Wakefield, West Yorkshire are bought at auction by developers who plan to rent them out. Presenters including Martin Roberts, Dion Dublin and Martel Maxwell follow the fortunes of new new owners as they bring their plans to fruition.

Is it a stairway to heaven? Not quite, it’s a spiral staircase in duplex flat in Southsea, Hampshire that Jacqui’s come to see. Martin is in the sought after town of Cheltenham, and Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire where his colourful shirt makes up for the lack of colour in a two bed flat.

A plot of land in Derby has Dion excited. Tommy is in Suffolk at a project with a challenging plastering job, and Jacqui meets a retired butcher trying his hand at property development.

A house beside a railway has Tommy recommending good double glazing in Orpington, south east London. Dion is in Greater Manchester, where the sandwich bill is racking up for the new owner. In a Lancashire semi, Martel meets a former hairdresser who is undertaking a labour of love.
