Commemorations begin with a Service of Remembrance from St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, attended by Her Majesty the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other senior members of the royal family.
Commentary will be provided by James Naughtie, with Dan Snow meeting veterans and their families.

Highlights include a Service of Remembrance from St Martin-in-the-Fields in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen and a flypast and Drumhead Service on Horse Guards Parade attended by the Prince of Wales and over 1,000 veterans and descendants of the Far East Campaign.
