Michigan's incredible UP is like "our own out west". From pristine forests and waterfalls to fabulous art and fantastic food finds, everything you need for a true Michigan adventure is all over the UP. Even if you're a city-slicker, the energy, culture, history, and architecture here will keep you happily hopping from town to town.

Two more great Michigan beach towns. First to beautiful Pentwater where we stay at a B&B with extra walls that's also extra nice, learn a new skill with new friends, and enjoy a great place to eat and relax that will satisfy all your senses. Next we go up the coast to majestic Manistee for a flight that will get you high on this great town, an old iron works putting a new spin on eating healthy, and a historic hotel with a "happy place" in its basement. In Flint, a new place downtown is reconnecting urbanites with real food. Then we find a better burger that's so good, the name of the place says it all. Then to a park where you and your favorite off-road ride can get down and dirty in the mud. In the island city of Eaton Rapids, a team of Airstreams take over the entire town. A cool young couple are teaching the old hotdog some delicious new tricks, and an English Inn has both fine dining and a party pub downstairs.

We make our way down the middle of Michigan's magnificent mitten. Our adventure starts at a diner in Grayling with a captivating collection of bottle caps. Then in Mt. Pleasant we get a lesson in America's original human history. St. John has a cider mill you can see from space; Lansing has a real Michigan princess; and Dimondale has a bona fide Beatles collection that will melt your mind.

In Romeo, you might forget what century you're in. There are amazing classic and Victorian homes; an Asian-influenced eatery that will knock your sakes off; a barn tour revealing what creative people are doing with Michigan's most iconic structures; and a street where Halloween is so incredible every year, you might just want to be a ghost.

Float through Lake Orion, where the lake and the town make up one great place to be. Eat, drink, and play like an Italian aristocrat. Attend a fantastic festival full of dragons. Then on to Gaylord, full of golfers. There's a place that continues to make classic family vacation memories; a cool, funky restaurant where you can buy cool, funky stuff; and an incredible elk herd.

First we'll give you a dime for every talented young musician in the city. Then we'll show you a rose of a restaurant that will feed your mind, body, and soul. Then we'll combine two great sports for one crazy good time.

We're cruising Woodward Avenue, starting off at the Detroit Historical Museum; then to Palmer Park for a hidden gem and some classic Italian dining; fabulous Ferndale for a Michigan Made Market; Birmingham for a place that will make you a gourmet in minutes; and Bloomfield Hills to meet the "real" Batman!

We head back to Michigan's beautiful Sunrise Side. First to the friendly Fireside Inn at Grand Lake; then to Michigan's very own Iron Man; then play some links-style golf at The Gailes and hit Lake Huron for a heapin' helping of Walleye.

In Lansing we visit where the police learn to drive to survive, and a gathering place loved by locals that's awesome for finding fauna. Then on to Grand Rapids for a treasure chest of reusables, the pied piper of foodies, and a cool couple who built a better bagel.

We peruse Pontiac for two people who made a menagerie of all things edible. We also spend a moment with the mayor, then take you to a new place where you can press your pedal to the metal. Then we head to Howell for some local radio, a speakeasy that's easy to love, and a friendly family festival that floats.
