Morgan transports Matt Bonner to the federal penitentiary after he is sentenced to death for murdering three men during a hold-up attempt. His two accomplices, who are still at large, arrange for a gun to be delivered to him in prison and Bonner attempts to shoot his way out to the waiting getaway car.

A soldier sentenced to hard labor escapes from his detail and, taking two hostages, flees the army base for the border with Marshal Morgan and his men in pursuit.

Would-be boxing champ (Michael Landon) turns to the wrong side of the law. Marshal Morgan refers to him as "Champ" several times in the episode

Mary Jo is kidnapped and is reported missing. When they investigate, her husband claims she is at home, but no one has seen her in 3 days.
