The Proper People

The Southeastern Academy of Travel and Tourism originally opened in 1976. Once a thriving school, the 31-acres of land have been sitting abandoned since 2004.

Public School Number Four completed construction in 1918. The school was later renamed the Annie Lytle Elementary School after their principal. The school closed in 1960 and the building was condemned in 1971. Since then, restoration groups have fought to save the building from demolition, vandalism, and arson. We journeyed inside to film and document the interesting building that soon may no longer exist.

We explored an abandoned phosphate mine surrounded by mystery. We believe it was closed in 2001 and has been inactive ever since.

After driving through "Bone Valley" for hours, we found the site of this abandoned phosphate processing facility. The phosphate mining operation in Florida is moving south as the resources in the north are depleted, leaving behind towering structures to rust and decay.

After meeting up with anothe Urban Explorer, we went on an adventure into a tall glass building in the middle of a populated beach town. Once we were inside, we were greeted with the interesting past of the building.

In one of our creepiest explores, we enter an abandoned tuberculosis hospital. Security patrolled the property, and getting in and out was a bit of a challenge.

We revisited The Glass Bank with Adam The Woo to experience the mysteries hidden inside before the building is destroyed.

A quick visit to an abandoned zoo left us covered in mosquito bites. The story behind this location is quite fascinating and currently, the zoo is home to many squatters.

On the highest point in peninsular Florida lies the remains of a world class golf course and a neighborhood that could have been. After discovering that the location didn't have much to offer in the way of abandoned buildings, we made use of the hilly paved streets to have some fun.

After multiple days of filming, we are proud to present our most elaborate cinematic video yet. The location featured is a long abandoned citrus packing plant that dates back to the turn of the century.

We decided to check out this abandoned dinner show, but when we approached the building, we noticed some big holes in the wall. We quickly realized that the complex was going to be demolished and that there was not much time left to explore. Although there was some damage, the building was still in pretty good condition.

Many months ago, we visited an absolutely massive phosphate mine and processing plant. After about an hour of exploring, we began to become very tired and dehydrated in the 90+°F weather. We decided to visit again when it wasn't as hot but upon return, we noticed we were too late. A majority of the facility had already been demolished.
