This episode opens with the host performing illusions with trainers and laces.
He then introduces the first of tonight's guest acts, The Bauer Family. Their incredible balancing routine on fifty feet high poles has to be performed outside of the BBC television centre. Astonishingly, they use no safety equipment of any kind.
Paul returns for an impressive illusion in his 'House Of Cards' segment before bringing on his favourite magician, Johnny Paul. As expected, Mr. Paul delivers admirably, with some superb cup and ball tricks.
The next part of the show sees Doctor Arthur Lintgen displaying his unique skill in identifying classical music pieces simply by examining a record groove! Sir Georg and Lady Solti look on with delighted bemusement.
Paul finishes the show at Merlin's Cave, Cornwall, for some entertainment based around the King Arthur legend.

Paul greets British favourite, Penelope Keith, who takes part in an illusion aided by the host's son, Paul Jnr.
The third guest tonight is the great Hungarian magician, Paul Potassy, who puts his own unique spin on silks and razor blade magic.
At the Royal Crescent Of Bath, Paul puts on an astonishing end to the programme as he appears to teleport Debbie McGee from a trunk on the ground to a hot air balloon.

The second guest, Frank Rains, is then introduced. His amusing act involves a unique skill of speaking simultaneously with others.
The host then rounds off the show with an impressive trick where he makes The Lovely Debbie McGee disappear.

The first guest act is then introduced - the very enthusiastic, Czech Sinekos family. Displaying superb balancing skills, they even manage to involve the host in their act!
Paul temporarily severs an audience member's arm for his next illusion, before former Guinness World Record holder, Ricky Jay takes to the stage. His card throwing skills are truly remarkable and he also adds great comedy to his routine.
The final illusion is left to the host, where he recreates the legendary Indian rope trick in the open air.
