What do you think is the best fight scene?

For those that think I'm making a case that Goku can't be criticised, I'm not. I'm simply arguing that using his lack of "development" as a reason to not like him is a poor one considering how many great characters have that same arc. You are perfectly entitled to not like Goku.

Piccolo has had some recent spotlight in the Dragon Ball Heroes and... Dragon Ball Super Broly to a lesser extent. Today in the Anatomy of Anime we are discussing the story of Piccolo from Dragon Ball all the way through Dragon Ball Super.

I love Dragon Ball Z and have fond memories of the Buu saga but in recent years I've come to the conclusion that I think it could be made shorter and have a few moments changed up here and there. Like Giving Gohan a leading role and making fusion actually matter! So I thought I'd try my hand at it. It might end up being closer to Dragon Ball Heroes than Dragon Ball Z but at least I gave it a go!

The ending of this fun trip down the Majin Buu saga of Dragon Ball Z. This was a fun rewrite. I had to glaze over a few things and really hit the major sign posts, but I think this would be a fun watch :) Or at the very least a fun episode of Dragon Ball Heroes. Gohan is a fantastic character and was so much fun to work with while having Goku as the support character.

Toyotaro and his Dragon Ball Super manga has been really interesting as of late. Moro is an interesting character and it sure beats watching Dragon Ball Heroes for the 10th time. So let's take an early look at the latest chapters from Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro's Dragon Ball Super! Starring: Goku, Vegeta, Majin Buu, Moro and Merus.

Bulma is one of the most iconic female characters in Dragon Ball, anime and pop culture across the globe. Despite sharing the spotlight with Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and a host of other compelling characters... She never has had trouble standing out. Today I am taking a deep dive into her character, it's utility within the story and what troubles she faces in the industry. This is the anatomy of anime and we are discussing BULMA!

Since My Hero Academia is back for it's 4th Season, I thought it fitting to start talking about some of their characters. Bakugo is one of my favourites and he's a perfect fit for The Anatomy of Anime series I'm making! Sit back and relax as I explain what makes Katsuki Bakugo tick!

Lord Beerus the Destroyer is one of the most recognizable characters introduced to modern Dragon Ball. I have never agreed with this and I've always thought of that particular trait as something closer to Vegeta. Dragon Ball Super is often compared to Dragon Ball Z in a lot of negative ways. So today I want to take an in depth look at how Vegeta's character was handled throughout the series and how it's handling changed during Dragon ball Super's run in the modern era. I may or may not also be avoiding my responsibilities in reviewing Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Heroes.

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super (maybe even Dragon Ball Heroes) have all created a foundation for themselves based entirely on combat, fighting and conflict. Very early in the Dragon Ball Z story, through characters like Vegeta, Raditz and Freeza... Power Levels became integrated into the story in a very literal way. Today on the Anatomy of Anime we discuss power levels and why there might be some misunderstandings surrounding what they mean and why a sense of power level is extremely important within a battle story like Dragon Ball, One Punch Man and pretty much all action battle stories. It's not just about Ultra Instinct, Super Saiyans or Gods... Today we are discussing all things power level related.

Over the last number of months I've dedicated most of my time to reviewing Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super. And today I will be delivering my final verdict on the two series. Adult Gohan is an exceptionally controversial character in modern Dragon Ball Super. He's had his ups and downs throughout the series but unfortunately has suffered more downs than up. At least in my estimation. With characters like Goku and Vegeta getting the spotlight and the time to explore their characters and arcs.
