Hello there,
I wanted to put some information out there about my channel and what I want to do with it in the future.
Since I will not be qualifying for the partnership program based on it's new standards I want to take this opportunity to introduce some new types of content I've been wanting to put out for some time now.
If you like the idea of some of what I've come up with please let me know in the comments. It would really help give me an idea of what a good direction to go would be.
I'm not comfortable with being on camera. But I feel that this is the only real way to communicate this type of information to the people it is meant for. Now that it has been done I will try to do some more videos like this to see if it get's easier for me.
I've spent quite a lot of time and effort on getting my usual desk recording area fitted with good lighting and audio recording. I have almost nothing ready for this type of footage. So you'll have to forgive the poor image quality and audio

Water damage, crushing,, per-shippment damage, missing discs, and so much more. Sometimes I do get a well packed box that is water sealed and crush protected, but most often not.
As a notice, the blue version of Earthworm Jim 3D was likely available in the US but everything I search for online brings up mostly yellow boxes. So YMMV.

I had never opened a modern phone before. They suck. I'll take screws at 5x the size over glue any day. I did have to open it twice since I left the cable retension bracket out. So I hated it a little extra.
Overall I would still rather do it again than buy a new phone or pay to have it done. But I'm kinda weird like that.
The original battery was never pierced through to the cells, just the outer layer of protection. I gave it a salt water bath non the less.

For some reason this recorded at 720p.
The objective for this stream was to go through the entire development cycle of the device in one sitting. I had to cut some corners with features, getting the PCB optimized, and getting the case to fit well in the interest of time.
During this portion I was trying to determine why it was not working with my phone. I eventually decided to just rely on Google's simple schematic to design a new circuit.
This is part 1 where I didn't realize that I was streaming on the account.
The music was streamed live over discord and was not recorded with the stream.

I took me a while to finally buy a 3D Printer. I had a much more pleasant experience with a dirt cheap printer than I thought possible.
I went with an Anet A8, known for is tendency to catch fire. Why? Price, I didn't think affordable 3D Printers were as capable as they are and didn't want to sink $300-400 into something that I would be disappointed in(Also, I didn't know about the CR-10 and probably would have bought that instead). As long as you are like me and are comfortable with electronics and have a good sense of how things work you should be fine with this printer. If not, there are other printers similarly priced that you could get(get a CR-10).
This printer requires some modification before it is ready for service. Reflowing connectors, ditching the heat bed connector, replacing the PSU, and the "mosfet" mod are some of the things that you should end up doing that don't even require printing parts.
Since it would probably help to link to the parts I am using I'm going to t

My LokBuild was trashed by my faulty sensor. I guess it's time to try PEI
I'm not thrilled with how thick this is for the sensor. I'm going to look into an 8mm sensor for this. Or maybe a capacitive one if those can directly detect the PEI.
The glossy finish on the bottom of parts is a cool novelty. I'm sure that will wear off about the same time the micro scratches dull the surface away.
