A heating engineer turns a five-minute job into an all-day affair; a gas fitter claims old parts are actually new.

Matt Allwright, with sidekick Dan Penteado, is on the trail of a pest control company after `Rogue Traders' received complaints about their shoddy work. They also go after an electrician who doesn't know his amp from his elbow. When they ask him to perform a couple of simple tasks, he gets it dangerously wrong.

Matt Allwright and Dan Penteado go in pursuit of roofing rogues and find one roof in a worse state after workmen have attacked it.

Matt Allwright dons his biking leathers and burns off to investigate the combustible world of the gas trade. Observing a number of different workmen instructed to carry out domestic repairs, it's quite uncanny how many of them dispappear on the pretext of going to purchase a new component, only to return with what looks exactly like the old one.
