To celebrate the Nintendo Switch being revealed, we take a look at one of the company's earlier and more obscure titles. This time around we look at the gameplay of The Mysterious Murasame Castle (謎の村雨城 Nazo no Murasame Jō). Built on the Zelda engine, it's a much more action orientated title. This time on Region Locked, we take a look at a game Nintendo has never brought to the west, Mother 3. Mother 3 is the Game Boy Advance sequel to the cult classic Super Nintendo RPG, Earthbound. Mother 3 began its development on the SNES before transitioning to the Nintendo 64. Development on the N64 64DD add-on was ultimately transitioned to the GBA. The game was released in 2006 in Japan, but was never officially localized in English. However, the game received an unofficial fan translation by the starmen.net community a few years later. The game's protagonist, Lucas, would go on to be featured in Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS, and the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
