Something different this way comes and it's in a form of a possible ally--one that might have crossed paths with the Stalker before. The team is surprised one day with a mysterious email with an even more mysterious purpose: who is this new player and what info might he have that's been hidden from the team for so long? Will he give some clear answers, or just open up new ones in the wake of his presence?

Everything comes back to the LAPD case under the stairs as Matthias and Woods take their "friend's" advice and go to kill the power of the interceptor that's been rerouting their calls to the cops. However, it seems like the Stalker had a trick up his sleeve and wants to cover his tracks concerning this piece of evidence, by whatever means necessary. With the timer ticking, the two have to find a way to safely preserve the evidence they found without endangering themselves or anyone else at the studio.

The LAPD case is now gone, but it still leaves behind so many questions about those stairs in the Red Base warehouse, especially considering the wires that are still dangling from the bottom of it. Matthias and Woods take the time to fully investigate the stairs, looking over each of them one-at-a-time. In doing so, they make a discovery that answers quite a few questions concerning the Stalker's last break-in but when they delve deeper, possibly one of the most important puzzle pieces finally finds a home.

After fitting the pieces together between their new discovery--the Apple 2--and the one piece of evidence that they have had the most questions about--the emulator sent to them by "D"--it's a rush of adrenaline as Matthias and Woods grab the latter from the vault and start hardwiring it up to the old computer. Their reward for trying so hard and stomaching the cramped hidden room is a peek at some answers that they've been desperately looking for, but it also opens up some new ones, ones that they must find the answer to if they want to continue on digging deeper into this black hole.

With the computer turned on and the password accepted, the last hurtle that appears before the team is a directory ID. It then becomes a quest of looking through the evidence as well as asking the audience to see if they can help them solve this and provide some answers that maybe they didn't catch or missed from previous encounters. However, once they finally DO hack into this ancient machine, and see what's on it, it becomes of a question of if they even should have looked into this and what their findings mean for their investigations.

After receiving another email from "John Doe", the team is suddenly thrusted into what seems like a timed search in order to find some information: the promised drop that was mentioned before. Once they resolve to follow this thread and see if it's legit, it's up to them to try and search their destination for whatever this undercover cop left for them and find it quickly, before someone else does...

Once the team is back at the studio, it's time to see if "John Doe" was holding out on them and see exactly what's in the case that was left at the drop location. After looking for clues in the email, and finally popping it open, they are rewarded for their efforts with a piece of evidence that finally seems like a light at the end of the tunnel, that finally seems like a guild in order to paint a clearer picture of Syntec and Syphus. And with this knowledge, the question now becomes: what next?

There's one last program to try on the emulator: the D3B disk. Not much is known on what would be on it but the team wants to try, as per requests from the fans. Once they get it setup properly so they can screen record everything from the old computer, there's no turning back and they start to investigate. What exists on this disk isn't for the faint of heart, and it seems to not only change Hi5 Studios forever, but our team as well.

The M-Team finally resolves something that the audience has been begging for for weeks now: the key hanging off the old desk in the hidden lair under the stairs. As they go through it, they make an interesting discovery that opens up a new can of worms that has been in the studio since before they got there. However, it also provides some answers they were looking for, and perhaps a bargaining chip they can use later down the road.

After finishing up with their new find, the team decides that some attention needs to given to other parts of the hidden room under the stairs that aren't necessarily the Apple II. While searching through the remaining drawers in the desk, they come across some folders with evidence in it that not only doesn't make sense but fills the room with an overwhelming amount of dread. What they find changes the game not just for their investigation, but for them as individuals as well.

In order to take a break and step back from everything that they found in the last episode, the team dives head-first into the Reddit again to see what the fans have found, both in the way of new discoveries and hilarious distracting memes. However, relating to the former, the team makes an interesting new connection when it comes to the Syntec logo, and the speculation on what that might mean as a whole becomes front and center.

Things are starting to get real: the Hi5 Studios Stalker has officially texted the team. While his true desires still remain hidden, the back-and-forth does give the team some hints and clues to chew on for a little bit, including a surprise revelation about their otherwise quiet emulator provider: the elusive "D" and who they may really be. However, it's the bombshell that the Stalker quite literally leaves the team with that may indeed change how they view him, as well as everyone else they've come into contact with during this investigation.

After the tense back-and-forth with Nelson Syphus, the team retrieves the "gift" that said Stalker left behind for them, curious about its importance to the investigation at hand. While the item itself prompts some confusion, the team doesn't skip a beat and head into full investigation mode to see what exactly Syphus is looking for them to find. However, once they do put the pieces together, they make a rather morbid discovery, one that changes the tone of this find rather dramatically, but also prompts some deeper questions as well...

Things are starting to get more serious now. After having to listen to the tape they found in the Mountaineer, the team is very curious as to what other secrets it might be hiding. They leave it in the very capable hands of Michael Badal to try and sort through what he can, while they head over to Reddit to recap as well as see if the audience found anything odd about it from the last video. However, circling back around to the former, they do indeed uncover some secrets hidden behind the the initial sounds of torment and fear, buried deep in the background. But, even if it wasn't what they first expected to the find, it does provide a few answers that they needed.

'John Doe' is back, and he's getting a little impatient with the lack of answers from the team, and tries to get in touch with them on Google Hangouts for the third time now. The conversation itself seems to be receptive and team makes some progress in learning about a few things, including Syntec itself and a rather strange incident that occurred there many years ago. However, once the officer pushes for a drop again, the team has a choice to make: do they trust this man or do they trust the Stalker that's been tormenting them for months now? And what revelations does that officer have about D and who exactly she is?

While texting Nelson Syphus--the Hi5 Studios stalker--back in itself probably isn't a good idea, the team is desperate for some answers, especially considering how secretive the undercover officer has been. It just seems to be another back-and-forth at first, until Syphus starts to open up about one person in particular: Deborah. And the last little nugget of information he drops about the latter truly seems to make their heads spin.

After learning from Nelson Syphus that D3B may potentially be Deborah, the crew decides the only way to find out out for sure is to confront her. If Syphus is telling the truth, who can we really trust? While confronting D, they hear of the absolute date, March 5th. What is to come?

The team finally resolves that they can't stall with the undercover officer any longer, and decide to gather some of their evidence for a drop of their own: they also decide to stakeout at the location to see if they can safely catch a glimpse of the mysterious bearer of information and if he's recognizable in some shape or form. After the long ordeal, however, they are surprisingly rewarded for their cooperation with something that will allow them to push with their investigation further. But, there is a small sense of dread on what they could find and how it may connect to them even further.

A rather curious discovery starts the day for the M-Vlogs team: someone may have found the official Syntec website. They take some time to do a shallow search of the pages, seeing if anything percolates their investigator senses as well as if there's any new information that they can log away for later. However, their job is not yet complete and the new Directory ID they received from the undercover officer is next on the list to search through for clues. What they find is indeed interesting, but more importantly, it seems to connect some pieces of this mystery together--maybe a little TOO well.

The end is near, and all of the pieces seem to be falling into place, a little TOO well. The team is confront by Syphus once again, given an ultimatum and pushed as far into the corner as they can be. When they reach out to their ally in the Apple 2, not much of what it says alleviates their anxiety, but it does seem to provide the truth that they've been trying to avoid this whole time: March 5th is upon them, and they need to get ready for it.

March 5th has arrived. With the team still not knowing what to expect, all they can do is wait, wait and see what their adversary plans on doing for this prophesied day. And while at first it seems like they may have been too precautious with their stakeout, Nelson Syphus indeed returns, and with a vengeance for what he was looking for. What he leaves the team will, truly is their darkest hour.

The absolute date has come, and the team is left to pick up the pieces of what happened after a rather devastating night. They go straight to the cameras to try and catch a glimpse of what happened, hoping it can answer some of their burning questions. However, while they're looking and taking some time to look over Reddit, they remember a piece of this puzzle that they had otherwise forgotten about before and after giving it a quick listen to, it seems to change everything they thought about with the Stalker and D3B. Will this affirm who they place their trust in after all? Or does this just seem to muddy the waters even more?

In perhaps the most heart-pounding episode of the season, the team is taking a stand. After everything they've lost, after having their backs pressed against the wall, they decide that it's time to do what's right: in Deb's honor, they resolve to turn all of the evidence, every little key or vial they have left, over to the undercover officer for safe keeping. However, it won't be that easy, as Nelson Syphus--or who they've up until now THOUGHT was Nelson Syphus-- is hot on their tail. Will he succeed in trapping them in and reclaiming what he wants? Or will the team manage to make it to their goal in time?

After the anxiety of the chase with their Stalker, the team is left with one thing as a thank you from the undercover officer--a parting gift from Deb. With this small token of hope, they decide it's time to play detective once again, and see what she left behind for them. After investigating the box, they discover a new thread, leading them back into the depths of Hi5 Studios. However, once they find what they're looking for, even beyond the sense of nostalgia, whatever despair they have immediately melts away: their faith has been rewarded.

The new discovery is now clear as day for the team: they've just discovered a server under a completely different set of stairs in Hi5 Studios. But trying to figure out who, what, when, where and why will have to wait, because this is a major piece to connect them to something that has been elusive with them since they discovered it: the Syntec website. Will this possibly give them some answers, especially when it comes to the back-end that the audience found? However, nothing with Syntec is ever easy and it seems like they're not the ONLY ones to figure out the server is back online."
