MLVC: The Madonna Podcast

It's the season two premiere of the MLVC podcast! In this episode, Tony and Stefan catch up on everything Madonna has been doing during their break, spend some time discussing the gorgeous Madame X VIP coffee table book, and pay homage to the Madame X tour by taking a couple Polaroids of their very own.

This week, we are joined by accomplished fashion illustrator and sketch artist Justin Teodoro (Instagram @justinteodoro). We delve into Justin's popular line of Madonna-inspired artwork and t-shirts, as well as his Madonna journey. And not just because it's Valentine season, we take a look into Madonna's most enduring love songs....and a few anti-love songs.

Hold Tight, we've got a packed episode for you! First, we speak with Academy Award Nominated producer and Prize Winning Novelist Abdi Nazemian (IG: @abdaddy).He's got a lot to say about his love for Madonna and his newest literary offering "Like A Love Story." We talk to Abdi about his Madonna journey and how that inspired his latest novel. Then, we catch up with Friend Of The Podcast Jonathan Pert (IG: @jonnop) calling in from the UK with his first-hand impressions of the Madame X shows in Lisbon and London.

This week is our exclusive interview with Luis Xtravaganza (IG: 1luisxtrava), co-host of the Werque podcast, member of the legendary House of Xtravaganza and of course one of the iconic dancers in Madonna's Blond Ambition Tour, that was also featured in the rock documentary Truth or Dare. In this enjoyable and revealing conversation, Luis shares his evolution from the Vogue balls in NYC to international recognition as a choreographer and dancer on Madonna's game changing Blond Ambition Tour and beyond. Luis also tells all about his latest project as co-host of the Werque podcast currently airing wherever podcasts are heard.

This week, we discuss Madonna and her Quarantine Diaries with our guest and Friend Of The Podcast, Liberty Rentrop, plus tips on how to get through these crazy times. On this week's episode we welcome singer-songwriter Rod Thomas, AKA Bright Light Bright Light (IG: @brightlightx2). Rod shares with us the behind-the-scenes story of his new single "This Was My House" featuring Niki Haris, Donna DeLory & Initial Talk from his forthcoming new album FUN CITY. Also, Rod tells us all about collaborating with Elton John, Scissor Sisters, Alan Cumming and touring with Cher. Join us this week as we continue to explore the Blond Ambition Tour with Oliver Sidney Crumes III. We speak with Oliver about working with Madonna and his fellow dancers on the Blond Ambition Tour, and what his experience was like being featured in the "Truth or Dare" and "Strike A Pose" documentaries. We hear about Oliver's close encounters with Prince, and what it was like working with his dance idol Michael Jackson on the set of MJ's "Remember the Time" video. He also tells us what it was like incorporating hip-hop moves into the Vogue video, talks about his life in dance and tells us what he's up to now.

This week, we are so excited to share with you Part One of our interview with Niki Haris! Niki is a singer, dancer, actress, and choreographer who catapulted to fame as one of Madonna’s backing vocalists on four separate tours, Who’s That Girl, Blond Ambition, The Girlie Show and Drowned World. She also appeared in the Truth or Dare documentary and has recorded countless tracks with Madonna among others. Niki shares stories, imparts some wisdom and sings for us too!

In Part Two of our interview with Niki Haris, Niki talks about teaming up with fellow Madonna back-up singer Donna De Lory on their collaboration EP titled “Two Friends.” She tells us what it was like performing intimate gigs for dedicated fans in NYC and LA titled “Niki & Donna: Songs and Stories.” We discuss her many collaborations in music, tv and film and find out what it is about Spiritual House music that uplifts people. We are thrilled to welcome multi-talented performer Christian Vincent to the podcast! Christian was the dance captain for Madonna's Drowned World Tour and also appeared in the iconic "Don't Tell Me" video. Published in 1992, with photography by Steven Meisel, SEX depicted a rarely clothed Madonna in various sexual situations alongside a who's who of guest stars -- and the book was a runaway success. Though its release did not go without controversy and backlash, to this day, SEX remains the fastest selling coffee-table book and is one of the most sought-after, out-of-print books in the country. Tony is back from visiting Madonna's house in London and Stefan has taken his Madame X tour jacket for its first strut of the fall season. What better reason to get together for a catch-up! Listen as Stefan reminisces about the magical night he went onstage as the 'Unapologetic Bitch' during Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour, which happened back on September 24th, 2015. This week on the podcast we are joined by Miguel Gutierrez, a choreographer, artist and instructor who's created a transcendent musical project titled Sadonna. Sadonna is exactly what it sounds like: sad versions of Madonna songs. We talk with Miguel about how he became a fan of La Ciccone and what inspired him to create his musical homage to the Queen. Tamara also tells us about her time representing the USA Rhythmic Gymnastics team at the 1992 Olympic Games, about performing On and Off Broadway in De La Guarda & Fuerzabruta and living in Portugal where she online teaches her therapeutic movement technique called MovMEANT.
