A re edit I’ve wanted to do for a while. Go back to 1982 and follow the history of Carnaval de Lumiere then New World Fantasy, then take a detailed look at Laserphonic Fantasy. This is followed by a look at the changes made in 1988, and then the whole original IllumiNations show, shot from multiple angles with a source score / live ambiance audio mix. Video is of its vintage, but I’ve done some cleaning up and enhancements to improve the quality.

Following on from last months illumiNations, here are both versions of Walt Disney Worlds 25th anniversary show. Each show features multi angle video and a source score / live pyro audio mix. Video is of its vintage but I’ve cleaned it up somewhat.

Shot in 4K from multiple angles for all the details, here is the lavish Parisian version of the ride. Don’t let the music put you off - this is a new full source mix of the gorgeous re-recorded and orchestrated Paris soundtrack. Also included is the clock show and a ride through on the Railroad.

Take in the mountain from various angles, the Riverboat and the railroad, take a ride at night and then see how Tokyo’s version was designed, the changes made for it and also take a ride on that version too. Like my Big Thunder Mountain series I’m aiming to show the similarities and differences between each. Starting with Walt’s idea for a walk through waxwork exhibit, see how the project developed into the lavish ride through. See how the attraction was designed and built, how it’s laid out, and major changes over the years. Next take a shot in 4K, full multi angle trip into, through, and out of the ride. After exiting take a look inside the Blue Bayou restaurant and as a bonus a tour of New Orleans Square. Audio is a source / clean live mix.

Continuing this series, start by taking an in depth look the history of the Orlando version of this attraction, how and why it was built, how it was designed and laid out, how it differs from Anaheim and a look at the major changes made since 1973 including the original treasure room scene in full. Next take a walk into Adventureland for a complete tour of the attraction including both queues in full and a full multi angle ride through including each scene in full, followed by a tour of Caribbean Plaza. I was gifted 70 gig of 4K footage mainly shot in 2017 that I could use so long as I released it in 4K, so as well a 1080p version this is my first edit also in 4K. Audio is a source / clean live mix leaning more towards full source. The footage was also shot in 2017 specifically to capture the original auction scene in full - as it is presented here. I’ve purposely edited this to capture the attraction as it was at that time. Part one (Anaheim) features the new auction scene with Redd in full. 60 minutes long.

A huge project that’s been a real labour of love for me. See why the Parisian Pirates is considered by many to be the best and most lavish version of the legacy rides. Go back to the origins of the ride, how it was changed from previous versions, how and why the storyline was altered and how it was designed and laid out and built. Also take a look at all the major changes made since 1992. Then take a full, shot in 4K tour of the attraction from outside, a detailed look at the queue, and on to the lavish load dock. I took care as much as possible to make each shot appear how the ride does. Not too dark, not too bright. Experience a full, huge multi angle edit of the ride covering every detail. Similarly I’m quite proud of the all new source and clean live audio mix I’ve slaved away at. Disembark, browse the store, walk outside, then take a full tour of Captain Jacks restaurant. Jump on the steam train to see the ride from the railroad, then take a look around the expanded attraction area at dusk. This ones been a project of passion for me. I started editing it a year ago and ended up with footage from 15 rides over 2 separate trips. I hope you think it was worth it.

Hot off the press! Only shot this week! Start off in Hotel New York - Art of Marvel to look at the holiday decorations then walk over to Disneyland Parc for a look at the amazing decorations from the entrance to the castle. As night falls cross to Walt Disney Studios for a look at the decorations there, then it’s back to Disneyland for a look at the breathtaking night time decorations. Then - Mickeys Dazzling Christmas Parade. The all new parade fantastic at night time. First, take a front row view and take in the full parade as it passes along the parade route, shot multi camera with a clean live audio mix. Follow the parade into central plaza (the hub) and see the full four stage show stop performance with Sleeping Beauty Castle as a backdrop. Next follow the parade down Main Street for a highlights showing of the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. All video is still of course multi camera. Finally leave Town Square and return to Hotel New York via Disney Village to see the holiday decorations at night. Happy holidays!

Given the popularity of our DLP 2020 trip video I was considering releasing this too as a Christmas treat. A tour of the resort and both parks with a look at many attractions in the winter of 2021, and six friends meeting after several years for a big birthday celebration. Over the last week Michelle and I have both been suffering hugely from Covid. To say it’s not nice is beyond an understatement. So I’d like to show this edit not just as a tour of the parks in winter but also as a reminder to enjoy every day you can. Don’t take anything - or anyone - for granted. And please be safe. The timeframe - and testing - suggests we caught covid back in the U.K. and not at Disneyland Paris. We found DLP to be a safer environment than anywhere back home in the real world.
