Life is Strange Universe

After having a vision of a cataclysmic storm that destroys the city where she studies, Arcadia Bay, Maxine “Max” Caulfield discovers that she has the power to go back in time over short periods of time. She’s using this power to prevent a murder committed by Nathan Prescott. She then discovered that the victim of the murder in question was Chloe Price, her great childhood friend whom she had lost sight of for five years. The two young women meet again and Max understands that Chloe was particularly affected by the death of her father five years ago, shortly before they lost sight of each other...

Max learns of a viral video showing Kate Marsh, another student of Blackwell, behaving poorly during an evening of the Vortex Club (the club of trendy students of Blackwell). Victoria Chase, a student of Blackwell and member of the Vortex Club, with whom Max does not maintain good contacts, takes care of spreading this video to harm Kate.

Braving the curfew that follows the tragic events of the previous episode, Max and Chloe break into Blackwell during the night in order to search the director’s office for information about Nathan, Kate and Rachel. They discover a strange document from Nathan’s hand: a scribble repeating the phrase "Rachel in the Dark Room". Chloe then convinced Max to go swimming with her in Blackwell’s pool, after which the two friends barely escaped David Madsen’s nocturnal round. Max spends the night at Chloe’s and the two young women get closer...

In this alternative reality, Max understands how this small change has affected the course of time. This one allowed Chloe to have a much happier adolescence with her father but it ended in a car accident that disabled her. Max and her friend are having a happy evening together, but Chloe is very ill. The next day, she tells Max that his days are numbered and she asks him to euthanize her. Max is upset and decides to restore the initial course of time by traveling again thanks to the photo...

Max finds herself in turn in the «Dark Room», prisoner of Jefferson. As she talks with him, she understands what happened to Rachel, Kate and Nathan. Max discover that Nathan was actually being manipulated by Jefferson. She is determined to put an end to this horrible actions...
