The French police search reaches its concluding stages, with the hunt for a white Fiat Uno that allegedly collided with Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed's Mercedes coming to nothing. Dodi's grieving father Mohamed Al-Fayed refuses to believe the crash was an accident and is convinced that his son and the princess have been murdered, and has no scruples about naming who he thinks is responsible.
