Hunting Aotearoa

Howie travels to Raetihi to meet up with Jason Haitana and his good friend Charley Halley. Howie is also introduced to Jason's three daughters who show him how they hunt in their neck of the woods.

Howie meets up with Victor McLean from Kuaotunu, in the Coromandel Peninsula. Victor is a pig hunter who is passionate about protecting our Kiwi, and traps pests professionally. Victor and his whanau have lots to share with Howie.

Howie meets Kereama Armstrong who is a long time family friend and hunting partner of his father Sir Howard Morrison.

Howie returns to Aotearoa Safari's hunting block during the roar. Howie teams up with a number of Kiwi hunters as they go in-search for a big stag and gets to put his own roar to the test.

Howie meets Gary Ottman who takes him into the Hunter Hills to shoot a wallaby and then onto Fairlie where the Tahr are close by.

Howie is back in Rotorua and is schooled up in the art of Clay bird shooting.

Howie hunts with Tim Barrow and his son Jonathan to hunt deer.

Howie teams up with Phil Wright who is one of NZ most experienced helicopter shooters. Phil tries to teach Howie some of the finer points of shooting from a Helicopter.

Howie heads back to Aorangi to meet up with the boys from Taihape. The roar is in full swing and this time Russell takes the lead with his bow and arrow.

Howie meets up with Turangi's self acclaimed legend Temo Dempsey who takes Howie for a deer and pig hunt.

Howie meets up with Ngawai from Opotiki who takes Howie for a duck shoot.

A great way to reacquaint and revisit some of the more memorable moments over series four.
