The July tournament ended with Yokozuna Terunofuji taking the championship. However, the Ozeki didn't perform well; kadoban Takakeisho had a losing record and will be demoted to Sekiwake next tournament. Hoshoryu withdrew midway, and Kotozakura fell short of his first championship. In the studio, we'll take a close look back at Terunofuji's 10th championship win. He defeated Ozeki Kotozakura and Hoshoryu and earned promotion to Ozeki after just nine tournaments since his debut. While young rikishi took the spotlight, 34-year-old Nishikigi stood out with 11 wins, earning his first Fighting Spirit Prize.
