Clete Weber, a young lawman for the railroad is married to Effie, the spoiled daughter of railroad Superintendent Bucknell, who does not particularly like his son-in-law, Clete's troubles are further complicated by his association with a childhood chum, Billy, who constantly refers disparagingly to Clete's marriage.
