The first in a new six-part series from Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann which is back in Cavan town for a second consecutive year. Presented by John Creedon and Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, the programme features the well known flute player Seamus Tansey, brothers Míchael and McDara Ó Raghallaigh along with Geraldine O'Callaghan, Danny O'Mahony, the Friel sisters from Glasgow and the group Full Set.
Included in this week's programme are the popular Irish American group Cherish the Ladies, the Maguire Family along with John McCartin. We also meet the tutors and students at the Fleadh Cheoil Summer School, Scoil Eigse.

Monaghan, Dylan Foley from New York on fiddle, Caitlín Nic Gabhann from Meath on concertina and Kavan Donohue from Cavan on guitar.
