Fan Show Down

Today we are going to do some improvements to the fan showdown. I have seen many comments from people recommending we find a way to better mount the fans in the smoke tests. Many want a partition between the intake and exhast to keep the smoke from flowing past the fan. I think that’s a great idea so I went and got some acrylic and that’s what we are going to try and do today.

After episode seven of season four I received tons of comments from people wanting to see the bladeless fan tested with many other types of fans. Well I hear your request and today we will do just that, let’s see just how far we can push this design.

I see two comments pop up quite often in my videos. The first is, how much better would these fans be if they were printed in on a SLA printer. the second is, how much performance is lost just by 3D printing process. Today we look at both of these comments and try and figure what the answer is. I took the Nocuta A12x25 and tried my best to design a copy of it. I then took that copy and printed two fans. One is printed using the FDM process the other printed using the SLA process. We will take those two fans and compare them to each other along with the OEM A12x25.

It has been 4 seasons of the fan showdown, over those seasons one of the most common request has been to take the winners of each season and pit them against each other. The people want to know what is the best fan ever created on the fan showdown. Well now that its season 4 I can think of no better time to go ahead and do it. I took the winners of season 1, 2, 3 and 4 resin printed them and tested against each other. Who has created the best fan in fan showdown history.
