More recently however, Gregory swapped the stage for a very different spotlight-appearing on British screens as a Dressed Crab in The Masked Singer, where he finished as runner-up. From The Simpsons to Star Wars, Parks and Rec to The Tick, Peter's screen work spans both sides of the Atlantic - though his sketch-packed Peter Serafinowicz Show on BBC2 remains a cult classic.

Born in Chichester, Alex first launched onto the comedy scene with open mic gigs while studying at the University of Cambridge. After his fair share of Edinburgh Fringe appearances, he eventually brought Taskmaster to life - debuting at the Fringe before landing on TV screens via Dave in 2009. Now showing on Channel 4 and a global phenomenon, the show is in its 19th series, has been broadcast in over 120 countries, and even has its own live immersive experience in London. When he's not dreaming up ridiculous tasks (in a hot tub, no less), Alex is fronting his "six-headed musical comedy band," The Horne Section. Their hit TV show returns for a second series later this year, and the band's 2025 UK and Ireland tour is well underway. This week on Dish, Nick and Angela are pulling out all the stops for one of comedy's sharpest minds, Dara Ó Briain. With degrees in maths and theoretical physics and a career that began in children's TV, Dara has been wowing audiences with his quick wit for over 30 years. But it was his 17-year stint as the long-standing host of the iconic BBC2 panel show Mock the Week that truly cemented his place as a household name in the comedy world. His TV credits equally don't stop there. Dara has hosted a string of fantastic shows, including Stargazing Live, Robot Wars, and the Comedy Central reboot of Blockbusters. But right now, he's pouring his energy into his latest stand-up tour, Re: Creation, where he's performing across the UK and Ireland, sharing his journey on the search for his biological father. With an extensive list of food likes, Angela had the pick of the bunch when deciding what to cook for this laughter-filled episode. She settles on a warming Chicken karahi, by Ravneet Gill.

Neneh Karlsson, better known as Neneh Cherry, is a singer, songwriter, broadcaster and activist. Cherry arrives at Dish HQ to talk about the paperback release of her memoir A Thousand Threads which recounts her life story through vivid tales of family, art, friendship and food. The book has recently been nominated for the Women's Prize for Non-Fiction. Neneh was born in Stockholm, Sweden before moving to New York and then, when she was 15, to London where she lives now. She first came to public attention in 1988 with her music and the groundbreaking single, Buffalo Stance. In a career that has seen her release six albums and collaborated with the likes of Peter Gabriel, Cher and Gorillaz, she has won two BRIT Awards, a MTV Europe Music Award and has a Grammy nomination. As part of a varied and always thought-provoking career, Neneh has also found time to hone her skills as a cook, and presented the TV cooking show called Dish It Up with her good friend Andi Oliver.

Nick and Angela are joined by an Oscar winner for a vegan feast. Natalie Portman is an award-winning actor, director and activist who has been making films since her first role at the age of 12 in Léon: The Professional. In a highly acclaimed career, she has also starred in Closer, Jackie, Thor, Star Wars (Episodes I, II and III) and the 2010 film Black Swan, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. She joins us to talk about her exciting new film Fountain of Youth, which is released on Apple TV+ on 23 May, UK. The action-packed movie, directed by Guy Ritchie, took its cast all over the world during production with shooting locations in Bangkok, Vienna, London and Cairo. Natalie is part of a star-studded cast including John Krasinksi, Domnhall Gleeson, Eiza González and Dish favourite Stanley Tucci. Natalie joined us just before a trip back home to Paris and was delighted to be fuelled by an array of vegan plates... and a Paloma cocktail to start.

This week on Dish, our duo are joined by Irish singer-songwriter - and unapologetic butter enthusiast — CMAT! After a jam-packed few years that saw her debut album If My Wife New I'd Be Dead make waves in 2022, followed by the Mercury Prize-shortlisted Crazymad for Me just a year later, Ciara — or CMAT as she's professionally known - is back with Euro-Country, landing August 29 and featuring her latest single Running/ Planning. As if a new album weren't enough, she's got a crammed summer ahead too. Performing alongside The Very Sexy CMAT Band, this Irish powerhouse is touring with Sam Fender, hitting the festival circuit (including Glasto - yes, Nick and Angela will be there), and gearing up for her biggest headline shows yet in Brixton and Dublin later this year. And what better way to fuel up for it all than with Angela's Mexican feast: guacamole, salsa and corn chips to start, followed by a Pescado a la Veracruzana, a Karla Zazueta recipe for Waitrose, a one-pot wonder of a dish.

It's all singing, dancing, chatting, and eating as we welcome the phenomenal Cynthia Erivo to the Dish table this week. Born in Stockwell, London, and now based in Los Angeles, Cynthia's résumé as an actor, singer, and songwriter is nothing short of extraordinary. She made her Broadway debut as Cecile in The Color Purple, a performance that casually earned her both a Tony and a Grammy. Since then, she's gone on to shine in Harriet (earning her first Oscar nomination), Widows, Luther: The Fallen Sun, Drift, and more recently, her second Oscar-nominated role as Elphaba in the box office musical smash, Wicked. And just when you thought she couldn't be busier, Cynthia joins Nick and Angela to talk about her new album I Forgive You - a 20-track project that tells her life story in four distinct parts. Before acting, Nick worked as a chef - and that love of food has clearly never left him.
