Contractors

The slurry season has just begun with Alistair in Donegal while down in Meath the Farrelly Brothers are erecting a shed and Peadar in Galway is heading off to spread some lime.

The cattle have been released to the land in Kerry, Alistair is ploughing the land in Donegal while Eoin in Clare is busy preparing for the silage season. Pat in Kells is clearing stones and Peadar is digging drains in Galway.

The sun has decided to shine and all the contractors from Donegal to Kerry, Meath to Limerick, Tipperary to Clare are busy mowing, shaking out, raking, baling, harvesting and making pit silage.

The heat is on all over the country this week as the contractors tackle more silage and hay harvesting.

The second cuts of silage are ready and our contractors are ready to cut, bale and draw.

August marks the end of the Summer season and the last of the silage is being harvested.

In the final episode one season is coming to an end while another is getting geared up to begin. It's time to review how the season went.
