Classic Game Room HD reviews STORYBOOK WORKSHOP for Nintendo Wii from Konami. This game comes packed with the Logitech USB microphone (same mic that you get with Rock Band 2). Talk into the microphone and read children's stories like Little Red Riding Hood and the Elves and the Shoemaker. The voices that you read automatically change to reflect the characters talking. For instance, when Little Red Riding Hood talks the pitch is shifted up to sound very high, the wolf sounds deep and menacing. Change your voice to sound like a robot and sing Row Row Row Your Boat and other kids songs. Sae your recordings and play them back later, "paint" with your voice and more. This CGR review of Storybook Workshop for Nintendo Wii has gameplay from Story Book Workshop on Wii showing game play in action with the microphone. Game contains 16 classic fairy tales and four sing-along songs.

Classic Game Room reviews PAC MAN for the NES, the Nintendo Entertainment System from Namco and Tengen. This 1993 release of the game is fairly true to the original although I found the speed of gameplay to bit slightly different. Pac-Man on NES starts off extremely slow and then picks up the pace rapidly. Visually true to the original with good sound and graphics, the Tengen release of Namco's classic coin-op should please those collecting NES cartridges. Classic Game Room reviews HAMSTER BALL for Playstation 3, a similar game to the popular Super Monkey Ball series. Hamster Ball packs awesome, fast paced HD visuals and some crushing boards that will send numerous hamsters plummeting into the depths of wherever. Hate hamsters? You'll love Hamster Ball. Some trial and error is required to meander through mazes that come straight out of Dr. Seuss-land. Numerous boards invite you to compete for the fastest time and push your hamster to the limits. From publisher Tik-Creat, Hamster Ball is a clever look at the Monkey Ball style of gameplay which works well with the PS3 controller's dual analog sticks.

Classic Game Room reviews HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON for Xbox 360, also available for Playstation 3 PS3, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Based on the Dreamworks animated film, How to Train Your Dragon is a pseudo-fighting game with an E rating where players collect dragons, train them, feed and care for them and fight!! The CGR How to Train Your Dragon video game review has gameplay from How to Train Your Dragon showing HD game play with dragons fighting in battle. Upgrade your dragons and burn people with monsters (but don't cut them in half) for E 10+ action gaming entertainment. Play with a friend in the arcade mode and complete special challenges for achievement points (and PS3 trophies for the Playstation 3 version). Create your own dragon with parts won during gameplay to give them neat noses and wings, etc... How to Train Your Dragon is good family fun for families on Earth consisting of humans interested in playing How to Train Your Dragon (not recommended for cats).

Classic Game Room HD reviews VIRTUA FIGHTER 32X for the Sega Genesis 32X add-on! Doesn't everyone make fun of the 32X? Maybe, but the thing really boosted the Sega Genesis power by a factor of 10. The Sega arcade Yu Suzuki masterpiece, Virtua Fighter, plays fast and smooth on the 32X. Early polygon graphics may not make the game a visual treat but gameplay is rock solid and as true to fighting as a video game with polygon created characters can be. Tap a direction, press a button or combination of buttons and pull of a wide variety of "realistic" moves... Realistic compared to shooting fireballs and tentacles that is. Where once stretched a vast blue sky now billows thick plumes of smoke, a blur of browns and grays which seems to suffocate any rays of light foolish enough to pierce it. Where once stood a proud castle now extends a dying plain of ash and burning rubble, and where once I played as a child now stands a seething, demonic beast obsessed with my destruction. Blade unsheathed and hairs standing on end, my journey had finally come to this. More than a decade has passed since that moment, the monumental final minutes of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and after all these years, I remember the scene as vividly as ever. Forget revisiting its cartridge—simply recalling its memory brings a gleaming smile to my face. More than its Homeric story, pioneering controls and engrossing gameplay, perhaps that is the true testament to Ocarina of Times timelessness. Perhaps that is why, even after nearly 12 years and three presidencies, people regard Nintendos Zelda opus so highly. Like the handful of Zelda titles before it, Ocarina of Time uses a simple recipe—explore the world, find a temple, clear it and repeat. The cycle isnt complicated, but the journey it fosters is truly staggering, leading Link on a quest which takes him from forest to desert, from lake to mountain, and even from childhood to adulthood. The classic legend unfolds at an exemplary pace, highlighted by the games vibrant, interactive worlds and powered by its revolutionary third-person controls, camera and combat. Ocarina of Time was deemed a platform-defining release for the Nintendo 64, but in truth, it wasnt simply a defining moment for its platform—it was a defining moment for the industry. A game without peers, its also the greatest game Nintendo has ever released.

Classic Game Room HD reviews SHERLOCK HOLMES versus JACK THE RIPPER for Xbox 360, also available for PC. Elementary my dear Watson!!! Jack the Ripper is bad and we're going to stop him with our giant, huge, brains!!!!!! Solve murders and other mysteries as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in 1888 London. A unique game for the Xbox 360 (feels like a PC game, no diggity-doubt), this is a combination 1st person perspective adventure game, Resident Evil style camera-pulled back explorative game mixed with Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright style deductions and crime solving. Interesting to say the least and one that CSI fans and those looking for puzzle games and mystery solving adventures may enjoy. While Sherlock Holmes feels like it was produced on a tighter budget than most Xbox 360 adventure games it makes up for it with a great sense of time and space, placing the player into late 19th century London. Classic Game Room HD reviews LOST PLANET 2 for PlayStation 3, also available for Xbox 360. This sci fi action shooter is optimized for multiplayer in a Left 4 Dead kind of way. Teamwork is critical for success and playing with other human beings (or a well trained dog) is the best way to enjoy everything that Capcom's Lost Planet 2 has to offer. Kill Big claims the packaging and that's right, numerous Class-G Akrids await your destruction. Fortunately they all have orange areas that make it easy to figure out where to shoot them, but it's not that simple as they frequently have devastating attacks and crush you without mercy. There's cool VS mechs and helicopter things to pilot and miniguns, even a massive shotgun. Lost Planet 2 has some funky camera perspective issues and feels incomplete when being played solo, but for those up for multiplayer and teamwork based-gameplay it should be a winner. This CGR review of Capcom's Lost Planet 2 has Lost Planet 2 gameplay showing game play from the PS3 version of Lost Planet 2.

Classic Game Room reviews The Midway which is a collection of carnival style mini games for 99 cents and amazingly isn't worth it. CGR gets the Big Daddy suit from 2K games and Bioshock as well as a proper underwater lair. Fun all around, PlayStation Home has so much more potential than Sony 3D so why isn't it being treated with the proper respect? I'd rather buy Big Daddy suits and disco dance than spend 30 seconds watching 3-D video with glasses.

Classic Game Room HD reviews SINGULARITY from Raven Software and Activision for PlayStation 3 (also available for Xbox 360 and PC). Singularity is a sci-fi shooter in the epic, cinematic style of Bioshock and Raven's own Wolfenstein. This first person shooter starts off in the present day and then goes backwards and forwards through time as you unravel the secrets of Katorga-12, E99 and the Singularity. This CGR review of Singularity from Raven and Activision has gameplay from Singularity on PS3 (also available for Xbox 360) showing Singularity FPS shooter game play in HD action. Rated M.
