It is Mr Christopher's last day teaching at Quayside Academy before he goes off to start his dream job in television. In an attempt to help the students cope with their loss, he sets up a support group and forces several students to attend. Before he leaves, he gives his Year 9 pupils one final speech, reminding them how talentless they all are, and, as he departs, his mysterious new job is finally revealed.

Lollypop lady and former chief inspector Pam Travers is taking things far too seriously at the school crossing again. Year 9 are confused when Miss Crank actually does give up pranking, preferring instead to teach history at last. Meanwhile, the whole school is thrown into chaos when all the toilets get blocked, leaving everyone desperate for the loo. It all seems to have been caused by the same person, which leads head teacher Mr Goldman on a hunt to find the phantom toilet blocker.

It's pupils v teachers as Quayside Academy introduces a sports day with a difference! Hakeem and Miss Crank compete in a prank-off, while Charleigh and Mr Bishop battle over who's the best DJ. Connor enters a roleplay-off with Dame Margo, while Alexcia and Freddie have a painting contest. Despite the pupils clearly being in the lead, it all goes wrong when Linda fails to keep score.
