Though there have been many iterations of the Man of Steel, Christopher Reeve's portrayal of Superman in his four films is still the gold standard. Here we take a look back at Superman 1978, Superman II, Superman III and Superman IV: The Quest For Peace. Plus two other movies technically set in that universe in Superman Returns and Supergirl. There was a time when The Hunger Games movies were one of the biggest franchises on the planet! Then between movies three and four people kinda lost interest. However! The original Steven Spielberg 1993 classic Jurassic Park based on the Michael Crichton novel of the same name was an absolute cinematic gamechanger. Bringing dinosaurs to life with a unique combination of stop motion blended with state of the art CGI it posed the question, should humankind medal with nature and if so should we hire more than one guy to control the entire fencing system as to stop said nature from breaking out and eating everyone? Anyways great cast and script plus there were two more not as good but pretty good Jurassic Park movies before the World trilogy which is definitely not as good. Thanks for watching! In 2013 Warner Brothers and Zack Snyder rebooted the DC Universe starting with Henry Cavill's Superman in Man Of Steel. Although not met with universal praise it made more than enough at the box office to lead right into it's sequel Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Then the poorer reception to that plus what was percieved as a disappointing return and personal tradgedy had The Avengers own Joss Whedon take over the completion of the Jusitce League in 2017, a movie everyone regards as terrible because it mostly is. Fortunately however Zack Snyder was allowed to return to finish his version in 2021 with the Snyder Cut, a four hour and two minute extravaganza! What a wild ride it all was. Thanks for watching! We're back with the first Caravan Of Garbage for 2025, Captain America: The First Avenger. In the lead up to Brave New World we take a look back at the first in the trilogy and the introduction of Chris Evan's portrayal of Steve Rogers. Acting as a prequel in the MCU timeline it takes us back to his battles with the Red Skull and Hydra during the events of World War II. Directed by The Rocketeer's Joe Johnston and also starring Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes and Stanley Tucci as Dr. Abraham Erskine it managed to lay the groundwork for future installments on top of being an absolultely cracking adventure movie in its own right. We've reached what many consider to be the pinnacle of the MCU, 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Taking place after the events of The Avengers we again see Steve Rogers adjusting to the modern world and delves into the grey area surrounding his work in the modern day. Also Hydra is back! And a mysterious assassin wearing a mask with a metal arm who may have ties to Captain America'a past! Also Nick Fury does some really cool stuff for what is probably the last time. Captain America is back and this time he wants to beat up Iron Man! In wrapping up our look at the Steve Rogers Captain America trilogy we take a look at the biggest entry, Civil War. After Tony Stark again begins to feel bad about being a bad bloke he backs the General Ross drafted Sokovia Accords which means more regulations for any enhanced beings. This acts as the introduction of both Spider-Man and Black Panther and divides The Avengers into two distinct teams who beat each other up in an airport among other physical activities.

Daredevil 2003 came in the a wave of Marvel comic book success stories like Blade, Spider-Man and X-Men. Ben Affleck's Matt Murdoch however didn't manage to reach those same heights despite being a pretty solid action movie. For the time. How could it not with Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin, Colin Farrell in his first comic book villain role as Bullseye and Jennifer Garner as Elektra who recently returned in Deadpool & Wolverine. Daredevil may not have gotten the sequel it probably I guess deserved but it did get a spin-off. ELEKTRA. 2005. Brought back to life using magic or a wish or something after being killed in Daredevil, Jennifer Garner returns to the role where this time she's an assassin who can sometimes see the future sometimes. This time she has to face The Hand and a bunch of henchpeople who are probably mutants including a man who's tattoo's come to life and also his name is Tattoo. All in all it's not very good. The first cinematic adaptation of The Punisher happened to be a little known action film from the late 80's staring Dolph Lundgren. Sure he was missing the signature white skull, black jumpsuit and white boots (disgraceful ommission) but there's a lot of core elements that have held up pretty well despite the limations of the era. In 2004 Marvel took another shot at making a Punisher live action adaptation after the success of Spider-Man, X-Men & Daredevil (I guess?), the Thomas Jane in the lead role. Also acting as his Year One original story it pits him against John Travolta and a family of mobsters who had his entire extended family un-alived (that's for YouTube censorship) after Frank Castle acted out a truely bizarre undercover pantomime drug deal. It's fairly melodramatic and drawn out but it does boast one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history. Thanks for watching our Caravan Of Garbage review

It's time for peak The Punsiher everyone. In 2008 under the Marvel Knights brand Lionsgate attempted another Punisher rebooted with Ray Stevenson stepping into the role of Frank Castle. It wasn't recieved well at the time nor did it perform well at the box office despite, in hindsight, it being an incredible fun and gory time at the movies. Director Lexi Alexander managed to craft what feels like the truest on screen adaptation of the character we've ever seen and even manages to include the likes of Jigsaw, with a suitably unhinged performance from Dominic West. With the release of both The Minecraft movie and The Last of Us Season 2 we thought we'd revist some classic video game adaptations. So we're kicking things off with 1994's Double Dragon! A bad movie that came out at the wrong time. Martial arts, action set pieces, humor, this has all of that but none of it is very good. Thanks for checking out our Caravan Of Garbage review

In 1994 the Street Fighter name was riding high off the back of Street Fighter II, an arcade classic. This meant it was the perfect time to release a movie adaptation and who better to play the role of Guile than Jean-Claude Van Damme at the height of his fame. Much maligned at the time it's become somewhat of a cult classic despite being more GI Joe than Street Fighter. But at least some of the actors look like some of the video game characters. Plus, it has Australia's own Kylie Minogue and an incredible performance from Raul Julia. Thanks for watching our Caravan of Garbage review.

Wing Commander is a bad movie that came out in 1999. Sure it's based on a much beloved computer game series (that features the likes of Mark Hamill) and stars both Freddie Prinze Jr and Matthew Lillard. Plus it was directed by Chris Roberts who not only created the original series but also the upcoming Star Citizen video game which is going to change the way you do video games. All in all though it was a horrible experience. By popular demand we've been forced into covering Uncharted 2021, an adaptation of some of the Naughty Dog video game series. Not the good one (The Last Of Us on HBO) but Uncharted 2021, a movie that mostly covers some of the ground seen in parts 3 and 4. With Tom Holland taking on the role as a young Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg playing that much beloved character, himself, this globe trotting adventure sets the bar for movies that feel like they come out in 2014. Oh my goodness it's Jason Bourne. That's right we're taking a look at all of the movies in the Jason Bourne-universe. Beginning with the Doug Liman directed Matt Damon starring action-espionage thriller The Bourne Identity. Set against a European backgrop and also featuring the likes of Franka Potente, Julia Stiles, Brian Cox, Clive Owen and Chris Cooper the story follows a man whom after beig dredged out of the ocean with no memory must follow a series of clues to discover the truth behind his past. Matt Damon as Jason Bourne is back in the first of many sequels! This time he has to try and remember all of his memories by tracking down another old man who made him do a Treadstone. It's got action! A car chase! More things from the first movie! It also has Paul Greengrass taking over directorial duties with a script sort of from Andor's Tony Gilroy. We've reached the end of the road for Jason Bourne, wrapping up the Matt Damon led trilogy where everything finally falls into place. Old white guys at Treadstone LOOK OUT because Jason Bourne is going to come to your work when you're not there and you'll be like "hey man what the hell". The Bourne franchise was as good as finished upon the conclusion of 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum. But franchises never truly die if there's profitablity at stake! So in 2012 Tony Gilroy of Andor fame returned to the series this time as director for The Bourne Legacy! Jeremy Renner steps into the universe as Adjacent Bourne aka Aaron Cross, a Blackbriar super soldier agent enhanced with pharmaceuticals forced to go on the ran because Jason Bourne can't stop running around for just a god damn minute. Jason Bourne is back! And this time he's kinda old but not like super old but for sure older than the previous time we saw him. A new threat has Jason Bourne emerge from hiding and it's Facebook plus Iron Hand plus Tommy Lee Jones plus Vincent Cassel! Michael Crichton is probably most famous for penning the novel that would go on to became 1993's Jurassic Park and the subsequent Park/World sequels. And in light of that a whole lot of different attempts have been made to adapt his work some before, like Westworld and some after like Westworld. Ever heard of Jurassic Park? Michael Crichton’s greatest adaptation! Well get ready for another adaptation that’s not Congo, Sphere. A movie about aliens and time travel and Sphere’s and nightmares. Starring a young…ish Samuel L Jackson, Dustin Hoffman and Sharon Stone it sank like a bloody stone at the box office due to poor reception and general disinterest in its blend of sci-fi and horror. It's Timeline time everyone! Because we're continuing our look at Michael Crichton's movie adaptations that arn't Jurassic Park. The year is 2003, Richard Donner (director of Superman: The Movie) decided to gather up Paul Walker, Gerry Butler, Frances O'Connor and Billy Connolly to do a big time travel to the year 1357 in order to run around a bit and cause of ruckus. Just when we thought we was out, they pull us back in. To talk about Michael Crichton movies! This week it's John McTiernan's (director of Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October, Predator) The 13th Warrior. Considered one of the biggest box office bombs of all time this Antonio Banderas action flick is certainly not up there with McTiernan's best but it's certainly not...the worst movie. 2025 is quickly becomming the year of Superman with the DCU reboot courtesy of James Gunn. So over the next three weeks we're going to take a look at THREE classic Superman TV shows, starting with Adventures of Superman from 1952 starring George Reeves. It's a hell of a show propelled the character to new heights and lead to the increased populatiry of both Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane before tragically concluding with the passing of it's lead actor after six seasons. The Superman extraveganzy bonanza continues with a look at Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman! Starting in 1993 and running for four seasons it achieved huge ratings over the majority of it's time before its eventual cancellation. Starring Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain and bringing sci-fi, romance and adventure to the small screen it's fondly remembered for a bunch of reasons some of which are almost certainly in this video.
